  • Wear gloves when cleaning knives or using a meat-slicer.

  • Choose the right knife for the job.

  • Use scoops, not glasses, to dispense ice.

  • Wear appropriate, slip-resistant shoes.

  • Tie back hair.

  • Avoid sticking hands in the trash, as there could be broken glass.

  • Dispose of broken glass in special containers.

  • Avoid wearing dangling jewelry or rings.

  • Clean up spills of food or beverages immediately.

  • Use "wet floor" signs when appropriate.

  • Climb on ladders, not boxes or other items.
